Rules for Youth Group Activities
To
promote opportunities for communication and fellowship at Youth Group
activities, and to prevent problems and misunderstandings, we are going to
enforce the following rules. These
rules will apply to all Youth Group Activities 1.
No
stereos, walkman, CD players, computerized games, etc., unless asked to bring
them by the youth leaders. 2.
No public displays of
affection beyond the holding of hands.
(This includes hugs, arms around shoulders, etc.) 3.
In
vehicles, to and from trips, as far as is possible we will enforce the policy of
same sex, same seat. 4.
For
insurance purposes, only youth leaders will drive to and from events.
5.
Due
to misuse of cell phones at Youth Ministry events, we ask
that you do not bring your cell phone to Youth Ministry
activities. A
Youth Leader taking part in the activity will make their
cell number available, in case you need to be reached.
If you need to bring a cell phones for emergency
purposes, or for calling your parents, it should be given to
an adult leader at the beginning of the activity.
Policy
of FBFC Youth Group Regarding
Age of Involvement Junior High Activities involves those teens in 7th,
8th
and 9th
Grades. Senior High Activities involves those teens in 10th, 11th, and 12th Grades. Sometimes 7th
graders choose to hang out with their friends in a lower grade.
If the leader of the class/activity is in agreement, the Youth Group has
no problem allowing this arrangement. 6th
graders will not be allowed to take part in Youth Group
Classes/Activities, with the exception of the Youth Membership Class (Parental
Permission is necessary for involvement in this class). 9th
graders will be allowed to take part in Sr. High activities, only at the
discretion of the Youth Pastor and Youth Leaders. It is highly
encouraged that students take part in classes/activities of their grade level! Chaperone
Policy On
activities, in which the chaperone policy is needed, Those in 7th, 8th,
& 9th (summer activities; those going into 7th, 8th,
& 9th) grades must go in groups of 3 or more with a chaperone.
Student in 10th, 11th, & 12th grades
must be in groups of 3 or more. |
